Requisition Summary


The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor position is an integral component of PACCAR’s Corporate Aviation organization.  PACCAR operates under CFR Part 91 with four jet aircraft based in Seattle, WA and Denton, TX, servicing locations primarily in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This position reports to the PACCAR Aviation Director of Maintenance. The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor’s primary function is to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the Company’s aircraft and support infrastructure, and lead day to day operations as the aircraft flight schedule and required maintenance dictates.

 


Job Functions / Responsibilities


.•    Assume the role of the Director of Maintenance in his absence. 
•    Complete weekly aircraft status checks to ensure aircraft are available to meet flight schedules.
•    Plan weekly aircraft Lead Technicians’, Maintenance Technicians’, and Hangar Attendants' work schedules to meet weekly flight schedules, including weekends/split-shifts and holidays as needed.
•    Ensure parts, equipment, and services are in position for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance requirements. Includes parts ordering, shipping and receiving.
•    Assist with daily hangar operations as required.
•    Lead aircraft maintenance team with aircraft discrepancies in troubleshooting as they arise.
•    Assist with in-house training for current and new requirements.
•    Perform duties in a safe manner while ensuring the safety of all employees.
•    Remove from service any aircraft that is unsafe or not in compliance with the regulatory requirements of the FAA or the Company’s Aviation Operations Manual.
•    Interpret and comply with manufacturer Service Instructions, Service Bulletins and FAA Airworthiness Directives.
•    Troubleshoot and maintain Company aircraft according to OEM criteria.
•    Dispatch and retrieve Company and itinerant aircraft.
•    Perform aircraft towing, parking and marshaling duties.
•    Refuel Company aircraft and perform fuel farm maintenance.
•    Interior and exterior aircraft grooming and lavatory servicing.
•    Operate and maintain aircraft support equipment including shop tools and tow-vehicles.
•    Complete aircraft logbook records/CAMP records of maintenance completed on aircraft.
•    Hazardous material handling and knowledge.
•    Download and update aircraft navigation and software programs.
•    Participate in Company hangar inspection and maintenance duties.
•    Possible occasional international travel required.


Required Qualifications


•    5-8 years’ experience maintaining business jet aircraft.
•    Demonstrated experience as a lead mechanic with the ability to work independently.
•    Team player with excellent communication and computer competent.
•    Ability to interpret FAA regulations.
•    Ability to pass TSA background screening for Port of Seattle ID badge and ramp driving privileges.
•    Valid Passport and driver’s license.
•    Able to provide personal tools and toolbox for Company work assignments.


Education/Certification


•    High School diploma.
•    Current Airframe & Power Plant certificate (A&P) required.
•    Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate preferred, but not required.
•    Aviation Maintenance Degree preferred, but not required.
Preferred Experience:
•    Dassault Falcon 50EX aircraft highly preferred.
•    Citation Excel experience preferred.
•    Safety Management Systems (SMS) and risk assessment.


Physical Demands


•    Working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather. 
•    Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing and pulling.
•    Lifting up to 50 lbs.
