Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Provide project and administrative support to Senior Managers and Purchasing Personnel to include but not limited to: presentation development, SAP data entry, phone coverage, file maintenance, and mail management.
  • Generate and maintain ongoing reports to track group goal completion. 
  • Support the Commodity Managers on bid administration, bid preparation and follow up within the PACCAR Purchasing System. 
  • Create and maintain contracts with all suppliers.
  • Support Commodity Managers on multiple projects at one time.
  • Provide Excel spreadsheet creation and support for the analysis of bids, reports and discrepancies. 
  • Assist Commodity Managers with pricing analysis and evaluation of supplier proposals. 
  • Independently work with suppliers to assist with any questions regarding parts or SAP.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Customer service oriented, possessing multi-tasking skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent PC Skills (Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of procurement applications and functionality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a high-activity work environment.
  • 3-5 years of applicable work experience preferred.
  • SAP experience desired



  • Associates Degree Required; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
