Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in Algona, WA. Dynacraft performs assembly, light manufacturing and distribution for PACCAR truck plants and the aftermarket. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft’s manufacturing facilities are located in Algona, WA, Louisville, KY, and  McKinney, TX.

Requisition Summary

This position focuses on materials support for product transitions resulting from Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Supplier Request for Drawing Changes (SRDCs), and/or deviations. The ideal candidate will have an inquisitive mind and employ sound analysis techniques and problem solving abilities.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Define process, procedure, standard work, visual management and metrics for Ebuy parts & supplier additions to Dynacraft’s supply base. Coordinate with Business Development and Corporate Purchasing on approval routing methodology.
  • Determine appropriate frequency and execute regularly scheduled Ebuy part reviews. Coordinate with Corporate Purchasing to move parts from Ebuy suppliers to corporate approved suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain databases and other reporting tools for use in material performance analysis.
  • Support new part / supplier EDI setup, troubleshooting and issue resolution and act as backup to primary EDI support position.
  • Work with Dynacraft and Supplier Quality to assess supplier readiness, capability, capacity and risk for part supply. Provide feedback on feasibility of part supply requested through, Ebuy, RFQ’s and ECN’s to ensure Dynacraft new business team and management are made fully aware of supply chain risks.
  • Work with Product Lifecycle Management to ensure appropriate timelines and dates are established for supply of Ebuy components.
  • Attend and contribute to ECN readiness and RFQ meetings to ensure supplier issues are identified early and escalated timely ahead of project launch.
  • Help continuously improve the project launch process and Ebuy reduction process through lean management principles including Six Sigma and PPS.
  • Help identify supplier packaging and shipping issues and risks early in program phases to ensure packaging is in line with Corporate and Dynacraft standards help setup new parts and supplier forecast models /planning strategies for parts moving from Projects into Production.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, organized, flexible and able to handle the demand of a just-in-time manufacturing environment
  • Constructive written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative, quality and results-driven work ethic
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Microsoft software proficiency (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • SQL / VBA experience and database development knowledge and experience strongly desired
  • SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) experience desired
  • Working knowledge of statistics, operations management concepts and EDI a plus
  • Understanding of production facilities, assembly operations and heavy-duty truck knowledge
  • Develop, maintain and post meaningful metrics & visual controls to support progress towards assigned goals

Education/Training

  • Four-year degree in Supply Chain Management or other related field required
  • Six Sigma training strongly desired
